How do I convert a PDF to Markdown for ChatGPT or Claude?
Switch to Extract to Markdown, choose the PDF, and copy or download the result. Headings are detected from font sizes, paragraphs are rebuilt from line spacing, bullets become Markdown lists, and a token estimate tells you how much context it will use.
Can it extract text from scanned PDFs?
Only PDFs with a text layer. Scanned pages are images, so they need OCR, which this page doesn't do.

No. The PDF is opened, edited and saved entirely inside your browser. It is never sent to a server.
How do I edit or delete existing text in a PDF?
Choose Edit Text, then click any line of text in the document. It becomes editable: change the words, or clear them to delete the text. The original text is removed from the file and the new text is written in its place.
How do I sign a PDF?
Click Sign, then draw your signature, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload an image of your signature. Click the page to place it, drag to move and use the corner handle to resize.
Is deleted text really removed from the PDF?
Yes, in most PDFs. When you download, edited, deleted or fully whited-out text is removed from the page content, and the editor checks the result. If text on a page cannot be removed safely, it is covered instead and the editor tells you which page.
