Minute (0–59), hour (0–23), day of month (1–31), month (1–12 or JAN–DEC) and day of week (0–7 or SUN–SAT, where 0 and 7 are Sunday). A sixth field at the front, if present, is seconds.

Use */5 * * * *. The */5 step means every fifth minute starting at 0: :00, :05, :10 and so on.

In standard (Vixie) cron the job runs when either one matches. For example, 0 0 1 * MON runs at midnight on the 1st of every month and on every Monday.
